D. M. YELL has been a credentialed English and Drama teacher for nearly two decades, he is a professional writing coach, and he has three degrees: an A.A. in General Studies; a B.A. in Theater from UCLA; and a Masters in English from California State University, Long Beach.

He has lived most of his life in Los Angeles and has served as a Fireman-Engineman in the Navy. He is a Gulf War Veteran and now lives, writes, and teaches in Wisconsin.
